What is Eco Church ?
Eco Church is a scheme that helps us to identify how we can care better for God’s
earth across the following 5 key areas of Church Life:-
Worship and teaching
Management of church buildings
Management of church land
Community and global engagement
Lifestyle
Having been achieved a Bronze Eco church award in September 2024, we are
working towards Silver. With a guidance plan
from the charity God’s Acre, local volunteers are looking to increase biodiversity in
the churchyard. This has included planting native bulbs and seeding a wild flower
area. A pathway has been mown to allow safe accessibility around the grounds
Our aim is to develop the churchyard into a place where people can find relaxation,
refreshment and a place for recollection of those they love.
We encourage the use of Fairtrade and Eco products, include eco tips in the bi-
monthly newsletter, celebrate Creationtide, and are looking to develop community
and global thinking.
