Community Coffee Mornings

We are a community of Churches so being part of something greater than ourselves is part of who we are! Our aim is to be a Godly presence in Harlaxton. The Church is the parish church for all the communnity, and our heart is to support all who live in Harlaxton.

Here are some of the practical ways we do that:

Macmillan Coffee Morning | Gamlingay Eco HubCoffee mornings!

As the Pandemic began to ease, Harlaxton Church wanted to re-instate the monthly Coffee Mornings that it used to hold in various members homes pre-pandemic. However many were reluctant to do that with the ever present threat of Covid still present. So the suggestion was made that we instead use the church building, primarily as it was more airy and we could be more spread out.

So ... if you have been to any of the COMMUNITY COFFEE MORNINGS - now held on the Third Saturday of the Month (except Christmas, on the first or second Saturday) you will see how these have developed into a very popular monthly social event where villagers and others can meet in a warm and safe environment for refreshment, social acitvity and a generally good time. As well as Filter Coffee, Tea and Home Made Cakes and Biscuits there are also Craft Stalls present for those special gifts.

Hope to see you there!

During Lent we host a Lent lunch. This is not a religious service but an opportunity to eat and chat and donate to a charity. It is open to all with homemade bread and soup.

Although we are a charity ourselves we regulary support other local charities, for example, Grantham The Passage and other international Charities, for example Tearfund. We are always looking for new partners so please let us know if there is a charity you think we can partner with!
